Space. Space. Space. Space. Space.
Taking up all of the space.
Silence I hate you

Silent Night

December 18, 2014

Silence in the city
A serene unnatural feel
How’d it come to be?

Sitting in silent serenity
Forgetting your fears finally
Making peace
With the world around
Being mute can be profound

The City

Finding silence here
Is like finding truth in lies
Hard but possible

Dreary Dreams

November 18, 2012

Another day
Comes to
A dreary end
As rain falls
The drab darkness
Encompassing the night.
No passion, no flare
Just black all around
It’s frightening how empty
A night with no sound.
Save the pitter patter
Of rain on the ground.
Tainting the serenity
Of a beautiful night.
Oh to have freedom
Oh to have sight.
But in this moment
I have nothing at all.
Not the passion
Of your loving;
Not the screams
Of your love;
Nor the dreams
Of your night;
Nor the fire
Of your eyes.
No nothing.
Not even a breath.
For all I have
Is this rain
Dripping me to death.

Something strange
In the bustling
World we have created
Never seems to be there
In these late days
Or early mornings
Just constant

Addiction is like a snake
Tightening us in its grip
Coiling us up with our own guilt
And our distaste of ourselves
Trapping us in its cyclic form
Removing the human from us
Leaving empty carcasses
The meat simply removed from bone
What little remains
Hates itself even more
For even after the snake has fed
One can still recognize
Their devoid and lifeless body.

This post marks two years of a poem a day. I guess I plan on keeping this going for at least awhile longer. Thank you all for your continued support and interest.
Wishing you all the best!
