Summer’s Gone

April 30, 2016

The sun is shining
But it is cold
Over this winter
I’ve grown old
Time keeps turning
On to spring
But it’s still not warm
Rather freezing
When will summer
Finally rear it’s head
I fear at this rate
I’ll long be dead

The change in seasons
Promoting fresh life to grow
Flourishing outside

October 8, 2015

Rainy October
Nights are dreary and bleak
Sleeping away fall

September 16, 2015

Warm summer wind
Cool fall breeze
Bitter winter chill
Weather’s such a tease

Seasons change fast
Fall winter spring to summer
The cycle growth to decay
And back the other way

Never really ends
Just spinning like the earth
Changing day by day
It’s always been this way

Someday it may all stop
Just end with constant heat
Or perhaps it’ll all be cold
Long after we’re all old

Summer’s end

August 31, 2015

It’s the end of it
Summer ceases to be here
Autumn is coming

August 19, 2015

Sunny days and summer nights
Staying late past twilight
Warm soft breeze on my back
A crisp autumn air, it’s a fact

Seasons turning around the bend
Days are shorter, it’s summer’s end
Wishing the heat would stay for good
But autumn is coming, as it should

Soon enough the leaves will fall
The geese will honk, the loons will call
Air will crisp and fires’ll burn
Winters next, as the seasons churn

Cold and lonesome at the end of year
Bitter chilly and full of fear
But alas spring will break through
And then’ll be summer, good as new

Season change

A rainy April
Precedes a sunny May
I’m getting better
