The being in the machine

August 28, 2017

This machine
Will now write
The most likely
Poem of the night:

I am not sure
I am not sure if you have any questions
I am not able to make sure
Hi and thanks for your time
The New adventures of Tintin and I
Hi Jessica thanks John I hope this helps you

That’s it.
Sentients is near.
I do fear.
In the future
Art will die.

Found in the storm

December 16, 2016

I found myself today
In a room surrounded by sounds
A blowing storm
A creaking door
The chaos of war
Yes I found myself just there
In the turmoil and chaos
Of an impeding storm
I suffered the silence to follow
Suffered it alone
With a group of young Bedouins
Searching themselves
For sanctuary from the storm
The faint dust blows
And oh it grows
From wind into chaotic storm
Crescendo at once
Then silence again
How I’ve found myself
In this storm

Making art with you
Reminds me of all the joy
We’ve ever experienced
A peaceful sense
Of true companionship
Watching the colours blend
And the paper curl
As new wonders are born
Beneath our very hands
Together creating memories
Both physical and mental
Feeling whole and at peace

The page

October 7, 2015

A blank page stares back
More intensely than an angry lover
More fearfully than a rabid dog
More terrifyingly than your darkest nightmare
But when pen hits it the stare breaks into a smile
Brighter than one thousand suns
More magnificent than the great pyramids
Sweeter than all the candy man has made
For creativity is born in this instant
Bringing something out of the nothing
And into this world

What is Art?

February 16, 2015

A question to start:
Does this qualify as art?
I think it is smart.

Sometimes art reflects
Sometimes it has a real soul
Too often it doesn’t

A Painters canvas
Is just as powerful as
A writer’s  paper
