The three right words

August 14, 2016

A few words came
And ran right out
Before there was worry
Before there was doubt.
Three of them slid
Right down my tongue
With just a breath
From my lung.
Each one packing
A little more punch
Hearing them softly
Fresh snow crunch.
They crescendo
On word number two
And baby I mean it:
I love you.
